The Arrowhead Library System is pleased to present “One-Dog Canoe and More,” a visit with Mary Casanova, a free 55-minute program geared towards ages kindergarten through fifth grade this spring.
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. April 1 at the International Falls Public Library.
Attendees are invited to meet celebrated Minnesota author Mary Casanova at the event. With a PowerPoint program including images of northwoods animals, book covers and illustrations, Casanova will also recount her journey growing up in a family of ten, struggling with reading, and discovering that books are a window into the world and writing is a way to “have a voice,” said a press release.
Audiences of all ages can engage with Casanova’s warm presentation style, including a question and answer period, and respond with a greater desire to read and write stories of their own, said the release.
This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. To learn more about Arrowhead Legacy Events, visit www.alslib.info.
