A musical, one-man show is making its way to the International Falls Public Library.
A release from the Arrowhead Library System said Jack Pearson will offer a free program for all ages at 3 p.m. June 18 at the library.
A storyteller and musician, Pearson will wow the audience with an experience of imagination, spirit, folklore and history, the release stated. He will play songs on all types of instruments including guitar, fiddle, five-string banjo, mandolin, jaw harp, and an assortment of small percussion instruments including his one-and-only amplified toy box lid.
”It’s a great show that’s appropriate for the entire family,” the release said.
Pearson has been blending songs and stories professionally for more than 30 years. His recordings have won multiple Parents’ Choice awards. The musician brings a fun family experience of music and stories that focuses on books and the love of reading. Providing good variety and well-paced participation, he will explain how reading opens the twin doors of information and imagination no matter age or interests.
He is known for shows that touch old and young alike. The sheer joy of settling down with a good book shines through Pearson’s assembly of tunes and tales.
