Local Borderland resident Dianne Briggs and her son, Stephen, through Littlefork Community Education & Recreation are sharing eight sessions of their knowledge and way of life in the American Indian culture, a flyer announced last week.
The first session began last week and the remainder of the classes will be held on the following dates from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Littlefork-Big Falls High School, room 114: Feb. 19, March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16, April 30 and May 14.
The Briggs’ may bring family heirlooms to the sessions and talk about them. They may also speak a little Ojibwe. Interested attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and to ask themselves what they would like to learn about the culture.
The cost is free to attend.
