The next show in the Border Concert Series is set to take the stage Monday and members of the community can see the performance for free.
Free tickets to Todd Oliver & Friends are available at the International Falls Public Library courtesy of the Arrowhead Library System. The show begins at 7 p.m. Monday at Backus Community Center.
Nationally known for his amazing real-life talking dogs and hilarious comedy, Todd Oliver & Friends presents an all-new show with his canine companions Irving and Lucy, plus a “real” cast of characters like Pops and Miss Lilly, and his outstanding Smiling Eyes Band, according to a news release. The show, the release continued, has been a major draw for many years in Branson, Mo., and is now bringing family fun to towns across America.
Oliver grew up loving dogs, ventriloquism, and rock ‘n’ roll music. As a young boy, he studied piano, guitar, voice and ventriloquism. Along the way he created some wooden-headed characters and performed around the world. So, if you ever wondered how a dog looks at life, Irving and Lucy are going to give it to you straight from the dog’s mouth.
Audiences can expect to be included in the show’s participation, some music and good clean comedy with Todd Oliver and Friends, the release concluded.
The Arrowhead Library System sponsors this program by providing free concert tickets, with funding in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Tickets for this event and others are available at the following public libraries: Baudette, Buhl, Cook, Hibbing, International Falls, Mountain Iron, Virginia, the Bookmobile and Mail-A-Book.
