A fun, creative workshop offered by the Arrowhead Library System is set for noon Nov. 16 at International Falls Public Library.
Everyone ages 7 and up is welcome to the workshop, conducted by Shannon Cousino, Duluth Art Institute education director. Cousino will teach a metal tooling workshop outreach program to create a picture frame using rolls of soft aluminum and chopsticks as the tool to draw with.
The instructor will teach kids how to create texture in the metal with the chopstick and add color to the frame. Kids can also bring a special photo with them from home and create a frame around it. All youth should be accompanied by an adult for the 60-minute program.
This event is sponsored by the Arrowhead Library System and funded by money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
