The International Falls City Council recently appointed members to commissions and boards.
Mike Rud was appointed to the Fire Civil Service Commission. Other members of the commission are Jim “Poncho” Forsythe, whose term expires January 2014, and Terry Ehrman, whose term expires January 2013.
Marty Cody was appointed to the Police Civil Service Commission and Dave Peterson was reappointed to another term on the commission.
The Police Civil Service Commission and the Fire Civil Service Commission guides the hiring process and disciplinary actions, other than minor issues, of the fire and police departments, according to city officials.
In addition, the council reappointed Gary Davison to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of International Falls. Davison’s term expires March 12, 2017. Davison has served on the board for 10 years.
The HRA’s executive director is Diane Edens. Members of the board include: Barbara Albert, term expires March 14, 2013; Virginia Cann, term expires March 14, 2016; Lawrence Rognerud, vice chairman, term expires March 8, 2015; and Thomas Smyithe, chairman, term expires March 9, 2014.
