A man and woman from Badger are in jail following a suspicious death of a former International Falls man in Badger, according to news reports.
The Roseau County Sheriff’s Office reports it received a 911 call just before 11 a.m. Saturday at an apartment building in Badger.
Deputies found 31-year-old John Currier of Badger, and formerly of International Falls, dead.
His neighbors, Jeremy Lemen, 34, and Desiree Shinholser, 24, are being held in the Roseau County Jail on second-degree murder charges.
According to the Valley News, a neighbor says Currier’s body was found in a ceiling cubby hole of his upstairs apartment.
Badger is about 110 miles northeast of Grand Forks, N.D. The town of about 370 is about 12 miles southwest of Roseau.
