For any fans of the local rock band, ForthAngel, who have been anxiously waiting to hear the band’s new song, “London Bridges” — the wait is almost over.

On Thursday, the band will perform its new single along with songs from their recently released EP “Silver Bullets” and a few fan favorites from its debut album, “In The End” at the Borderland Beatdown at 7 p.m. in the Ranier Community Building.

The band, which is made up of Scott Fuller, Mike Fuller, Wes Hendrickson, Adam Bruce and Eli Evenson, have come a long way in the three years that the members have been performing together. They say they are excited for their fans to hear the first single they’ve ever released, and all helped write.

“At the end of the song, it is kind of like an anthem chorus and it’ll be a bunch of people singing ‘we all fall down,’” said Scott Fuller, the band’s front man. “The song is really saying that we all make mistakes and we don’t give up.”

The group decided to perform at the Borderland Beatdown to give people a new taste of what they’ve been working on. Make no mistake, however, the concert will be clean — not a “beatdown” — and is for all ages. The cost for the show is $8.

“We just tried to come up with a fun name for the show,” said Mike Fuller, who plays the drums. “There aren’t going to be any beat downs.”

ForthAngel has been rehearsing almost every day for several weeks getting ready for the show, which is expected to be about one and a half hours long.

Accomplishments don’t stop at the upcoming show. Later next month, the group will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to work with a “big-name” producer, C.R. Pendleton, and record “London Bridges” in Pendlewood Studios on Sept. 11.

“We are really excited about this opportunity,” Scott beamed. “To be able to work with this producer in his studio is going to be amazing.”

The band was also named the Minnesota Home Grown featured band for August (based on online votes and listeners) and is in demand at a variety of regional music venues.

“And a few of our songs are going to be featured on the soundtrack for Thunderstruck 9 which is Big Sky Xtreme DVD,” Mike proudly explained.

“We’re excited about where we’re going,” said Hendrickson, who plays bass guitar and does vocals.

The band hopes that community members of all ages will come to the Borderland Beatdown and experience its music, which Scott says has gotten a lot better.

“We’re more mature and work better as musicians,” he said.

“We appreciate all our fans and all that they do for us,” said Bruce who plays lead guitar and sings backup.

ForthAngel can be heard on The Edge 91.9 FM out of International Falls or both Jango and Sunset Radio online.

“We’re performing the song for our local fans first because ultimately, they’re the ones who have helped us get where we are today,” Mike concluded.
