Licia Cress and students

Indus School junior Licia Cress plays the Cat in the Hat for a day and reads to children in the library during “Drop Everything and Read” time.

Dr. Seuss Week has come and gone at Indus School Feb. 25-March 1, with activities for preschool through grade 6.

However, some high school students joined in the fun of dressing up for the week.

Students wore hats on Monday for “Kid in a Hat Day!” Also, classrooms decorated their doors in “Seuss-Ville style.”

Lots of interesting hairdos appeared in school for “Who-Ville Hair Day!” on Tuesday. Some wore their hairdo styled; some wore it wild!

Of course, there was also the favorite “Fox in Socks Day!” on Wednesday; featuring knee high socks, gym socks, stripes and argyle, any style. Some students started the day with white socks and ended it with colored socks from marker pens! Oops!

On Thursday, “Bedtime Green Day!” many students decided to relax and chill out, wearing their pajamas about! “Drop Everything and Read” was held in the library at 2:30 p.m. with special guest readers.

The school was swarming with green on Friday—“Grinch Green Day!” “We all want to be seen, so come to school wearing green!” was the cry! Breakfast menu? Green Eggs & Ham!

The Cat in the Hat also made some sly appearances throughout the week, a.k.a. Maria Lewis, Amber Zoupas, and Licia Cress!
