A detail shot of how SMOOSH 10-foot-long "ski" is assembled. The "sport" is regularly listed as "zany" and "kooky," even locally. How it was invented is not clear, but it seems to be unique to the Upper Midwest. And contests often takes place outside bars, like it did for Icebox Days Saturday. However, there is even a so-called U.S. championship and children's SMOOSH races.
