The following people have been sentenced for aggravated misdemeanor or felony crimes in Koochiching County District Court.

• Nicole R. Fisher, 32, Ranier, was sentenced March 26 for felony aggravated forgery and felony fifth-degree drugs — procure, possess, control by fraud or deceit.

On the forgery, she was given a stay of adjudication and placed on five years supervised probation. The sentence is to be served concurrently with a previous sentence. She was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being used or sold. She must submit to random testing and searches, complete an alcohol assessment, and take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency.

• On the drug charge, she was given a stay of adjudication, placed on five years probation and ordered to pay fees of $110. The same conditions on the previous sentence were also ordered.

• Levi G. Kucera, 22, International Falls, was sentenced March 26 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $4,120 fine and fees. All but 30 days and $1,620 of the fine and fees was stayed on court conditions and he was placed on three years supervised probation. He was ordered to serve 80 hours with the Sentence to Serve program and may not to consume or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and searches and complete an alcohol assessment.

• Shannon L. Morrison, 38, International Falls, was sentenced March 26 for gross misdemeanor domestic assault — subsequent violation.

She was ordered to one year jail and $3,135 fine and fees. The jail time and $2,950 of the fine was stayed on court conditions and she was placed on three years supervised probation. She was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being used or sold. She must submit to random testing and searches, complete a domestic abuse evaluation and alcohol assessment.

• Jana R. Reff, 25, International Falls, was sentenced March 26 for gross misdemeanor neglect of a child —likely substantial harm physical/emotional health.

She was given a stay of adjudication and ordered to make herself available to services on child care provided by community services.

• Joshua D. Timberman, 28, International Falls, was sentenced April 9 for felony fifth-degree possess drugs.

He was given a stay of adjudication, placed on three years supervised probation, and ordered to pay $100 fees. He was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and searches and complete an alcohol assessment.

• Penny L. Trafton, 39, International Falls, was sentenced April 9 for gross misdemeanor check forgery — offer/possess with intent to defraud.

She was sentenced to one year jail and $3,145 fine and fees. The jail time and all but $195 of the fine and fees were stayed. She was placed on three years supervised probation.

• Samantha B. Trafton, 19, International Falls was sentenced April 9 for gross misdemeanor check forgery — offer/possess with intent to defraud.

She was sentenced to one year jail and $3,325 fine and fees. The jail time and all but $375 of the fine and fees was stayed on court conditions. She was placed on three years supervised probation.

• Donald P. Zaren, 32, International Falls, was sentenced March 26 for gross misdemeanor interfere with a 911 call.

He was given a stay of adjudication and ordered not to have contact with the victim. He was ordered to serve 32 hours work service.

• Robert L. Jones, 42, International Falls, was sentenced March 26 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $4,620 fine and fees. All but 30 days jail and $2,120 of the fine and fees was stayed on court conditions. He was placed on three years supervised probation and ordered to serve 80 hours with the Sentence to Serve program. He was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and searches and complete an alcohol assessment.

• Amanda R. Novotny, 32, Littlefork, was sentenced March 26 for gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation posing a danger to public safety.

She was sentenced to one year jail and $3,285 fine and fees. The jail time and all but $485 of the fine and fees was stayed on court conditions. She was placed on three years supervised probation.
