The following people have been sentenced for aggravated misdemeanor or felony crimes in Koochiching County District Court.

• Sarah K. Grafton, 44, International Falls, was sentenced July 9 for felony possession or sale of stolen or counterfeit checks and felony fifth-degree possession of drugs.

On the check charge, she was sentenced to 12 months and one day jail and placed on five years supervised probation. All but 95 days were stayed on court conditions. She was ordered to pay $3,129 restitution. She must apologize in letter and may not possess credit cards, checks, a checkbook or checking accounts. She may not enter casinos or establishments where gambling is the primary purpose.

On the drug charge, she was given a stay of adjudication and placed on five years supervised probation. The sentence is to be served concurrently with the previous sentence. She was ordered to follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment, may not use alcohol or drugs and may not attend social gatherings where alcohol is used, and may not enter establishments where alcohol is sold.

• Jeffrey C. Marks, 45, Mountain Iron, was sentenced July 9 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $4,120 fine and fees. All but 10 days and $1,620 were stayed on court conditions and he was placed on two years supervised probation. He must serve 40 hours community work service and follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment. He may not use alcohol and must submit to random testing.

• Keith L. Porter, 29, International Falls, was sentenced July 9 for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree assault within three years of previous conviction.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $3,145 fine and fees. All but four days and $195 were stayed on court conditions. He was placed on three years supervised probation and ordered not to use or possess alcohol or drugs or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing, follow the recommendations of a chemical and domestic abuse assessment and may not have contact with the victim.

• Andrew L. Stavish, 31, International Falls, was sentenced July 9 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $2,720 fine and fees. All but 90 days and $2,020 were stayed on court conditions. He was placed on three years supervised probation and ordered to serve 80 hours with the Sentence to Serve crew. He was ordered to not use or possess alcohol or drugs or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment.

• Kenneth L. Clement, 27, International Falls, was sentenced July 9 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $1,695 fine and fees. All but 10 days of the jail time was stayed and he was placed on two years supervised probation. He was ordered to serve 40 hours with the Sentence to Serve crew and may not use or possess alcohol or drugs or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment.

• Anthony R. Jenks, 21, Prior Lake, was sentenced July 9 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $4,120 fine and fees. All but 30 days and $2,120 were stayed on court conditions and he was placed on two years supervised probation. He was ordered to serve 80 hours with the Sentence to Serve crew and may not use or possess alcohol or drugs or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment.

• Robert L. Jones, 42, International Falls, was sentenced May 21 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $4,620 fine and fees. All but 30 days and $2,120 were stayed on court conditions. He was placed on three years supervised probation and ordered to not use or possess alcohol or drugs or enter places where it is being used or sold. He must submit to random testing and searches and follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment.
