The following people have been sentenced for aggravated misdemeanor or felony crimes in Koochiching County District Court.

• Derek L. Black, 29, International Falls, was sentenced Oct. 22 for felony second-degree burglary — dwelling.

He was given a stay of imposition of sentence and placed on five years supervised probation. He was ordered to serve 60 days jail and pay fine and fees of $200. He must pay restitution, if required, and follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment and domestic abuse evaluation. He may not use or possess alcohol or drugs and may not enter places where it is being used. He must supply a DNA sample to the state and submit to random testing and searches.

• Nathan Myers III, 36, International Falls, was sentenced Oct. 22 for felony fifth-degree possession of drugs.

He was given a stay of imposition of sentence and placed on three years supervised probation. He was ordered to pay $100 fees and must follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment. He may not use drugs or alcohol and may not enter places where it is being used. He must submit to random testing and searches.

• Owen J. White, 22, International Falls, was sentenced Oct. 24 to felony domestic assault — strangulation. 

He was sentenced to 350 days jail, to be served concurrently with another sentence.

• Leroy M. Majerus, 55, International Falls, was sentenced Oct. 22 for gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation — operate vehicle with negligence under the influence of alcohol.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $3,125 fine and fees. All but 10 days and $1,125 was stayed on court conditions and he was placed on three years supervised probation. He was ordered to serve 80 hours with the Sentence to Serve program and to follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment. He may not use or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being used. He must submit to random testing and searches.

• Bradley J.N. Kantor, 20, International Falls, was sentenced Oct. 22 for gross misdemeanor introduce contraband — drugs, liquor — into jail.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $215 fine and fees. All but 10 days jail were stayed on court conditions and he was placed on two years supervised probation. He was may not use or possess alcohol or drugs and must follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment. He must submit to random testing and searches.
