Technology can be a great tool, but change often comes with some bumps in the road.

The Journal’s website is a great example. Users of our new website have been experiencing some difficulties, which appears to have caused frustration among readers, posters and our staff.

We ask our web readers and posters to have patience as some of the wrinkles we didn’t expect are worked out.

Our new website is being administered by a new company, which is working with us to make this website more user friendly.

Please contact us if you have problems logging in or posting to these stories. Contact Robin Bjorkquist at online@ifallsjournal.com or by calling Bjorkquist at 285-7411, ext. 233. She can assist people in logging in, as well as collect information about other concerns.

Bjorkquist encourages website users having difficulties to clear their cache or reestablish a favorites link or short cut with www.ifallsjournal.com, which could eliminate the appearance of old content that may be causing frustration to users.

There are several items on the website that we plan to change, but change takes time. So, keep checking our website to see if these concerns have been resolved.

The changes are not intended to discourage postings; we encourage a lively discussion of relevant issues in our community on our website. But we understand that the new website needs some correcting and are working to make the changes where needed.

But understand that the same rules for postings will still apply. We will continue to monitor postings and will take action when we believe the discussion is not based on fact or has become irrelevant or personal.

Again, be patient. We, too, have concerns about the new website that has caused us all frustration. But the website remains a work in progress and we know that the anticipated changes will allow us to continue to provide news, photos and discussions to our online community.
