International Falls Lions Club met Jan. 7 at the AmericInn. The dinner meeting was very well attended with almost 100 percent attendance.
The meeting mainly consisted of working out the fine details for the up and coming 5M10 Midwinter Convention scheduled for Jan. 18-20 at the AmericInn. A large number of Lion members are signing up for the convention, as there is usually a very good time had by all.
With guests such as Leader Dog Foundation, Spring Point Project, Minnesota Diabetes Foundation and Canada Dog Guides, it is a learning experience as well as having just a great time.
The wintertime fundraiser of selling Ice Melt is doing a bang-up job, and more is sold every year, all funds going to Lions causes.
The public may see Lions gum ball machines around — this is another way the club is raising funds. So next time you see one of our machines, drop in some money and get in return a gum ball.
Anyone interested in becoming a Lion member may call Karen or Dick Briese at 286-5508.
