Excitement is swirling among members of the local Christian rock band Fourth Angel as they celebrate a new achievement — landing a slot on the national Billboard charts.
The band spent three weeks on the Billboard charts for Christian music and couldn’t be more thrilled, members said.
“We climbed the chart,” said an exuberant Fourth Angel front man Scott Fuller.
The band’s first single, “Believe,” debuted at No. 29 on the charts and worked its way to No. 27 before finally landing at No. 24, where it stayed until Sunday.
Fuller said he and the rest of the band — Mike Fuller, Wes Hendrickson, Adam Bruce and Eli Evenson — felt “pretty accomplished.”
“It was awesome to see our name among some of the bigger, more well-known bands,” Scott Fuller explained.
He added that members of Fourth Angel were especially proud to be listed on the chart because their song was only played on 50-60 radio stations, whereas some of the bands they were up against are played on more than 100 stations.
“It has definitely given us some label attention,” Fuller noted. “I’ve also been doing some radio interviews, too. We’re really getting Fourth Angel out there.”
Band members, who hope to move to Minneapolis or Fargo, N.D., in the near future, said that they will be giving their local fans one last performance before they move.
“We always like to play a pretty long show for our Falls people,” Fuller said.
The show will be Saturday at the Ranier Community Building. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and Fourth Angel will take the stage at 8 p.m. Admission will be $10 at the door.
“We’re doing this show to release our new single “Heartsick” to our local fans first,” Fuller said.
“Heartsick,” along with “Believe,” will be included on the band’s album “London Bridges,” due out in June.
“All the money we bring in for the show will go towards finishing recording our album,” Fuller concluded. “We already have two songs recorded and are looking to add three more.”
