Those involved with the Arrowhead 135 ultramarathon were able to give back to the International Falls community this week.

Those involved with one of Borderland’s toughest events gave back to the community this week.

More than 200 pounds of food and $3,000 was donated to the Falls Hunger Coalition by racers, sponsors and volunteers with the Arrowhead 135 ultramarathon.

“(The race) also supports the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and Together for Good,” said Ken Krueger, co-director of the January event.

In addition to the funds and food given to the Falls Hunger Coalition, a $100 donation was presented to the Borderland Humane Society on behalf of the 2019 Racer’s Choice Award winners — The Arrowhead 135 Snowmobile Crew.
