Frosting, sprinkles and smiles were plentiful at Backus Community Center Saturday as preparations for Mother’s Day were underway.
The Journal partnered with Stewart’s Super One for its second annual cake decorating event in honor of Mother’s Day, which was celebrated Sunday.
More than 50 youngsters frosted a cake during the event, which organizers plan to make an annual offering.
