The temperature dipped to 21 degrees early Monday morning in International Falls, a tie for the city’s eighth-coldest Oct. 24, according to the National Weather Service in Duluth.

The coldest was 12 degrees in 2002.

Monday’s low was also 21 at Crane Lake. Minnesota’s coolest temperature was 18 in Embarrass.

Temperatures this week are expected to range from the upper 40s to the mid-30s, according to the Weather Service.
