Minnesotans looking for private health coverage through the MNsure marketplace beginning Jan. 1 have until midnight tonight to complete enrollment at MNsure.org.
“Rates are lower this year. Enroll at MNsure.org by December 15 to ensure you start the new year with the security of health coverage,” said MNsure CEO Nate Clark in a press release. “If you need help finding a plan that fits your needs, our MNsure-certified brokers provide free, in-person enrollment assistance.”
Minnesotans can save thousands if they qualify for financial assistance. Get a quick estimate to see if you might qualify for tax credits by using MNsure’s plan comparison tool, or by viewing the income guidelines.
To date, more than 105,900 Minnesotans have signed-up for health care coverage through MNsure for 2019, said the release.
MNsure has extended Contact Center hours leading up to today’s deadline. The Contact Center is open from 8 a.m. until midnight today.
Additionally, the online MNsure marketplace will have extended hours. The marketplace has been open 24 hours a day, closing at midnight tonight.
MNsure reminds Minnesotans that although the federal open enrollment period ends today, MNsure’s open enrollment period ends one month later — January 13, 2019.
Those who enroll after today’s deadline will have coverage that starts February 1, 2019.
In addition to application assistance offered by our MNsure-certified navigators and brokers, MNsure’s has an enrollment event calendar with daily enrollment events in numerous cities throughout the state.
MNsure’s sixth open enrollment period runs November 1, 2018, to January 13, 2019, which is approximately a month longer than the federal open enrollment period. Individuals earning up to $48,560 a year, or a family of four earning up to $100,400 a year, could qualify for federal tax credits. Additional income guidelines are available on the MNsure website.
