Train crossing

A train collision late Sunday in Fort Frances has closed a crossing while crews work to remove the derailed train cars.

The collision at the McIrvine Road crossing caused no injuries, no leaks or spills, reports the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.

The OPP, Fort Frances Fire Department, Canadian National Railway and CN staff were at the scene late Sunday.

The McIrvine Road is expected to open to traffic late today, however the OPP said motorists can expect delays as maintenance crews continue to work on the tracks and trains begin to move again.
