Under sunny skies, more than 50 people participated in Saturday’s Minnesota Marathon for Non-Public Education at St. Thomas School.
The state-wide event sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, aims to raise money for the general operations of the school. This year, more than $10,000 was collected.
“Our school goal was $17,500,” said the school’s Principal Dawn Flesland. “But donations are still coming in.”
Students set a goal of raising $5,000 and as of Saturday morning, they had already surpassed that goal by collecting more than $5,300.
