QUILT GUILD
Whispering Pines Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. May 17 at Evangelical Covenant Church. Room 200. Quilters are reminded bring a little basket to participate in the exchange game. Bring a fat quarter in shades of green to participate in a drawing. Show and Tell items welcome. Quilters of any level of experience who want to quilt for fun are welcome to attend.
NORTHLAND GALLERY
Northland Gallery is open at Kantor Electric, 500 Fourth St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19. The gallery is open the first and third Saturday of the month from 10 to 4 May through August. Paintings, photography, fused glass and pottery are among featured items.
CEMETERY CLEAN-UP
Loman Riverside Cemetery clean-up day is set for 1 p.m. May 22.
SUMMER SWIM PROGRAM
The 2018 Indus Community Education Summer Swim Program at Lake of the Woods Pool is planned for June 11-14. One week of lessons in a two-hour block, 10 a.m. to noon. Bus is available through Indus Community Education. Pick up and leave Menards parking lot at 8:15 and head to Baudette. Students must be out by highway. Bus leaves Lake of the Woods Pool at 12:15 and heads back to Menards at 1:30. Children not planning to ride bus on one of the day must notify driver.
