‘TREASURE SALE’

Servants of Shelter will host a Treasure Sale at the International Falls Bass Tournament Aug. 23-25. Old, new, vintage, silly or strange “treasures” will be accepted. Call 285-2092 to arrange for pick-up or donations may be dropped off at S.O.S.

BOWLING LEAGUES

A meeting is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Timber Pins for those interested in joining a bowling league. Leagues will be formed for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

TRAP SHOOTING SIGN-UP

Fall league sign-ups for the Falls Trap Shooting Team will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at Falls High School cafeteria.

QUILTERS GUILD

Northern Lights Quilters Guild will meet at 6 p.m. Monday for the summer potluck at First Lutheran Church. Bring a dish to share.

KOOCHICHING MEMORY CAFE

Koochiching County residents living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s Disease or a similar dementia along with their care partners are welcome to the Koochiching Memory Café set for 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Faith United Church, Fireside Room. This no-cost café is intended to provide a safe, supportive and engaging social opportunity where fun and laughter are welcome. Information and education available. Light refreshments and engaging activities will be offered. The Koochiching Memory Café is a project of Koochiching Aging Options and results from the Greater International Falls ACT on Alzheimer’s initiative. FALLS PREVENTION WORKSHOPS

Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging is seeking professionals and volunteers to be trained in facilitating evidence-based falls prevention workshops. “A Matter of Balance” leader training will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 at the St. Louis County Public Safety Building, 2030 N. Arlington Ave., Duluth. Cost of training is $50. “Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance” leader training will be from 8:30 to 5 Sept. 13 and 14 at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Retail Center, 425 W. Superior St., Duluth. Registration deadline is Sept. 10. Cost is $100. Limited scholarships available upon request. SUMMER READING FINALE

A Summer Reading Finale is planned for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at International Falls Public Library. Ice cream with toppings and family yard games will be featured.

SCULPTURE UNVEILING

The final sculpture in the “Spring” series created by Eric Kulig will be unveiled at 6 p.m. Wednesday at International Falls Public Library. The series is funded by the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
