Veteran Larry Gilliland, who died Sunday, received a veteran certificate on May 9, as a part of recognition of veterans in the Fairview Range Home Care and Hospice.
Fairview honors the veterans with a short presentation, a certificate, and a letter signed by all the staff. This recognition pays tribute for their service to our country and promotes emotional healing and recovery.
“Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and it is never too late to give them a hero’s welcome home,” said Fairview staff in a news release. “The hospice team may provide the last opportunity for a veteran to feel that their service was not in vain, and that they are appreciated.”
