Welcoming a new face
Outgoing Koochiching County Veterans Service Officer Kathy Sikkila, left, introduces Candance Ritch, who is taking over the position, to the county board Tuesday. Sikkila says she is retiring from what she calls “her dream job she found at age 54” to travel with her husband. Sikkila thanked commissioners for the opportunity to work with the county’s veterans and assured them Ritch is “the right person for the job.”
