Are prices rising? I mean, I know prices are going up but have you noticed that prices seem to now be in a runaway spiral upward like they are in third world nations! In the last three weeks I have noticed:
Large goldfish crackers $6.58 $7.59
Canned goods, off brand $0.48-0.55 $1.09
Eggs- large (18 count) $1.25 $1.00/6eggs
Milk gallon/high octane $2.89-3.19 $4.29
I think there starting to sell bluberries by the each, like apples and oranges. Bananas are 69 cents a pound, sometimes 59 cents a pound. 2-cycle motor oil running $12.00 to $22.00 per gallon and higher. D-cell batteries are higher then platinum or gold. I did a quick calculation and find that many prices have risen in the last three weeks by 22% to 110%. I was wondering if anybody had noticed this and was at all worried. I mean, the Bush administration is still arguing and wondering if we are in a recession or not. Kinda complicated for one such as myself to figure out but I sure hope the price of crawlers and minnows doesn't go up to much or I'll have to open a bait shop up at Kab and Int'l Falls just to make ends meet.
