I'm very disappointed in the way the try outs were held this year. I've talked to many of the girls, existing cheerleaders and girls that just tried out for the first time this year. They all said the same things, they knew who was going to be picked the first day of practice. It was said that one of the advisor's only spent time with her daughter and her group of friends. In my book, that is unfair, as an adult and the advisor she should have removed herself when her daughter was trying out. I feel that is a conflict of interest and very unfair. I also find it odd, that the ages were not changed until the advisor's daughter was going into 7th grade? If the numbers were that low why didn't they try and change it before?? It all smells a bit fishy to me. This just goes to show that the only kids that ahead in this town is are the kids that have parents in the right positions. Which is unfair, so many kids in this town just give up because of the politics. This school Dist is just a big joke...
