As a deerhunter and a member of the local chapter of the Mn Deer Hunters Assoc. I would encourage you to put your deer hides into the hides boxes marked MDHA. The money that is earned from this project is earmarked for habitat improvement ONLY. In recent years, the local chapter has been donating large sums of money to the county forestry department for the purchase of "clover seed" that is planted in the forests on logging roads and landings in Koochiching County. This habitat improvement is a very worthwhile project as it returns something back to nature! This is a very unique "recycling" project that has very large benefits for the wildlife.
