Have you ever thought that International Falls could be a great place to live and could draw a lot more tourists than it does? Have you been to a place that you enjoyed and thought, "I wish we had that here?" I've read the comments on improving International Falls but they seem to be all spread out over this site. Let's put our minds together on this forum and talk about what would work.
I think something needs to be done with our main street. Those of us that are old enough to remember actually shopping on main street (or crazy daze when it really was crazy) need to know this historic town isn't going down the tubes. There are places that are made into "Norwegian town" and the like. Would it be possible to "upgrade" our downtown into the 1950s? Have a malt shop? Maybe a small museum sort of feel to it? We have a lot of culture here in the Falls and I think we should play on that. Go down south and they rake in a lot of money with war reenactments. Any ideas?
