July marks the 25th anniversary of the Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless Challenge grant (OYH). Falls Hunger Coalition actively participates in this challenge and last year raised almost $4,000 locally, which was matched by OYH.
This year we would like to exceed that total by raising at least $6,000 locally. Add that to the “match” and we have generated $12,000 to help feed the hungry in Koochiching County.
As a community supported food shelf, we count on our local monetary donations to help us reach the goals we set. Please give generously during this month, knowing what you donate stays in Koochiching County to help our friends and neighbors, and all monetary donations received during July count toward the Open Your Heart Challenge Grant matching funds.
