The new Economic Development Authority program isn’t rotten, it’s already decomposed.
The town of International Falls runs on a favor system. You have to be a member of the inner circle clique group. It involves politics, jobs, sports for kids. This whole EDA program was set up when city council decided to quit funding KEDA program.
And as far as being transparent (yeah), like a sheet of lead. It should be etched in stone on main dtreet. The International Falls favor act will be endorsed; like it or go home.
All decisions that concern the town and people should be run by the taxpayers and voters of International Falls, no matter how big or small. That’s why you were voted into office; that’s the meaning of democracy. Government by the people collectively through elected representatives political or social equality.
One can only hope for the town’s sake it works out and the town can grow and prosper for the next generation so they don’t have to move away for lack of no employment.
What’s to come from the next meeting conducted behind closed doors? Private chauffeurs on the payroll.
