To the editor,
In response to the column by Danny Tyree in the July 28 edition of The Journal in which he desires to minimize the “charges and the countercharges of hypocrisy, double standards and favoritism, the bickering, name-calling and finger-pointing” that we see and hear from our politicians during elections and replace the usual useless and mundane rhetoric for “objective standards of what is expected of public servants,” I would say to Danny, there is hope.

What an Advocate we have in our own Blessed Mother, the Mother of God and patron saint of these United States of America.
Remember the so-called iron curtain? Remember the worker’s revolution in Poland? Remember His Holiness Pope John Paul II kissing the very ground of his beloved Poland when visiting there? Remember the fall of the Iron Curtain?
All I’m saying is you never know. Keep planting those seeds.
