Reasons to vote yes on marriage amendment

1. Marriage between one man and one woman is the best environment to raise children. The government should be reinforcing laws that give a child the greatest opportunity to know and be raised by their father and mother.

2. A change to the definition is a move by special interest groups to force their agenda upon those who do not support it. 

a. The gay political machine knows that if they succeed in redefining marriage then they can force the acceptance of homosexuality in public schools, force churches to perform same sex marriage ceremonies or face charges and fines from the government, and establish the exercise of free speech as hate speech if speaking out against homosexuality.

b. The only gain in redefining marriage is a legal empowerment by the gay community to force acceptance of their lifestyle. In Minnesota, they are given equal rights and protection against discrimination so this is not about fairness.

3. The ballot is not calling for any change but to protect what is already in the laws and constitution. A yes vote will stop activist judges from rewriting the law. 

4. God’s word is clear on marriage “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” Matthew 19:4-6

When a country promotes that which God promotes all citizens can be blessed, when a country rejects God and his created order of things that country will be brought into chaos. 

5. Procreation tells one intuitively that marriage between a man and a women is the way mankind was designed to function.
