To the editor,

Take a nice long walk along the treasured gift to International Falls from the Donahue family and enjoy beautiful Rainy River.

A lot of people have to drive a long ways to get a beautiful view of the river. We can now enjoy it some day as we walk along it.

It brings back so many nice memories of Pat and Ethel Donahue.

Pat planted large corn fields on the property each year so people all over the Falls and around could come and pick corn on the cob for their family and loved ones from 1940-1950 and through the years.

At the home, Ethel baked her bread and had 4-H meetings that everyone enjoyed in the good old days when I was young — the 1950s.

The people that knew Pat and Ethel Donahue will never forget them as they walk along the river and view it some day.

My mom and dad, Stanley and Mabel Christensen, and I picked a lot of corn through the years and I went to 4-H.
