The Journal has refreshed its website, making it easier for readers to use.

But change often comes with some bumps in the road. We ask our web readers and posters to have patience as some of the wrinkles are worked out.

The site update is a result of reader requests and changes in internal needs. This refreshed website is more efficient and effective in managing our content on a daily basis.

The website is being administered by a new company, which is working with us to make this website more user friendly.

For example, logging into our website should be less of an inconvenience as it feature captchas that are more clearly viewed.

The website changes should make the site simpler to use, easier to navigate and more engaging. Posting events, blogs and comments should be easier.

We’ve also improved the commenting engine to better facilitate online conversations.

This newly revamped website will also offer more opportunities for advertisers.

Regular readers of our web content should have received an email from the site letting them know about the change and informing them of the need to reset their password.

In addition, we encourage website users to clear their cache and re-book mark the site. For quick and easy access to our website, go to Ifallsjournal.com and bookmark it.

Please contact us if you have problems logging in or posting to these stories. Contact Robin Bjorkquist at online@ifallsjournal.com or by calling Bjorkquist at 285-7411, ext. 233. She can assist people in logging in, as well as collect information about other concerns.

Meanwhile, we encourage our web readers to refamiliarize themselves with our rules of conduct. They are printed near the bottom of each screen.

We will continue to monitor postings and remove postings we believe violate our rules.

The rules are as follows:

• Keep it clean. Do not use obscene, vulgar, lewd, racist or sexually-oriented language.

• Don’t threaten or abuse. Threats of harming another person will not be tolerated. And, turn off cap locks when posting

• Be truthful. Don't knowingly lie about anyone or anything.

• Be nice. No racism, sexism or any sort of -ism that is degrading to another person.

 • Be proactive. Use the 'Report' link on each comment to let us know of abusive posts.

• Share with us and your fellow readers. We’d all love to hear eyewitness accounts and the history behind an article.
