I think the time has arrived, to start a petition, to remove the unsightly mess constituting the chip and pulp storage operation further to the East of town into the Boise property where the pulp was formerly stored. The petition should direct and order the city council to take whatever action necessary to force the Boise Paper Company to move there operations, with a completion date not later then the end of 2008. This action is being taken as the unsightly piles and noise does not and will not comply with the City of International Falls goal of improving the future climate of the city in attracting new business and preserving the quality of life for its residents. In addition, according to the paer companys own findings, the Boise Operations may in itself constitute a hazard to the areas residents, not only on the Burner Road but also in the area of the Carson Lupie playground. All those in favor, vote aye on the petition wherever you may find such document.

Citizens Exercising Their Rights

If the City or the paper mill want, we can appoint a task force to study the issue. I suggest the task force be comprised of voting citizens from the South Falls and especially the Carson Lupie area in addittion to selected members of the Hwy 53 businesses who might be affected by the successful results of this petition.
