The current ad running for Chip Cravaack and sponsored by the US Chamber of Commerce is another blatant attempt to confuse the public. To date, the Minnesota Democrats have not found their nominee, although they have endorsed Mr. Nolan. The ad curses big government (a result of the 1980-2010 Republicans), regulations on small business and Obamacare, which is also known officially as the Affordable Care Act. The fight over big government has been with the country since the Articles of Confederation were enacted. The fight against small business is an outgrowth of losing a corner store to the big box stores, and something a trite saying to people in a 30 second ad cannot do justice to. And to say that Obamacare will cost us all trillions we cannot afford is untrue. It lowers health care costs over a ten year period by 1.3 trillion, and get this, people get to see their doctors, are urged to be proactive, and bring America into the scope of the rest of the modernized world. Perhaps if people had one less big thing to worry about, they could make significant financial contributions to their communities through whatever way they choose. Again, the ad for Chip does nothing but make poor arguments and skirt the edge of the truth.
