With the hazards presented by our glacer carved lakes and the wicked nature of our reefs, which seem to jump up and seek us out, I was wondering if a forum on where these obstacles are located might not be a good idea. My intent is for this forum to be ongoing throughout the summer so that we might identify "all" the rockpiles that might cause us problems this summer. There are many dozens of rocks in out of the way areas that are especially nasty. As we still have some time left on the lakes this winter, now is a good time to identify these rock piles either by descriptive location and/or by GPS co-ordinates. Having hit most every rock on all three major lakes during mink trapping season, setting gill nets and while fishing and still probably not knowing where 100% of these are located, especially in low water, I think it would be a good idea to ID these things for all to know.

Secondly, and even as an added bonus, structure is "one" of the secrets to good walleye fishing and reefs are structure that will help you do better at walleye fishing if you know where the reefs are at, even those reefs you won't hit.

At a later date, I will compile a list of these hazards that are not regularily marked, of those structures within say 10feet of normal water levels and adding those reefs that you may "discover" on your own initative.
