The city plans, but might not be successful, in taking action on 7 January 2008, on the Burner road issue. Let the city council members, the county government and all in the company what it is you really want. There is much room for the city, company and the local residents that pay taxes around here, to maneauvor without hurting each other. On the other hand if the local residents make their wishes "well" known then thats the way it will be without out regard any discomfort some may feel. One thing I know for sure!!! A mill force of only 850 people is a serious minority that can't win, if thats what you want. I know for sure, that all them 850 mill workers, salary and union, are not behind this scam put forth by the company. If they were all registered to vote, and there not, and if they were all behind giving the road away, and there not, that would still only be 850 votes. There probably are at least 850 workers in city and county government alone, not to mention the federal government and retired folks that live around here. They havn't a chance, if thats what YOU want. If the city councel gets away with this scam, all those figures I just brought up will hold true for every vote you cast on every person and item up for vote for the next 20 years. You have more power thern you can possibly believe, just exercise it.
