I loved growing up in IF and want the best for the future. Open mindedness and creativity have served me well and I would like to attract some good computer jobs to this area. I visited in early Sept, was a designated driver, parked on 6th street from 2 AM to 8 AM and was amazed that I got a ticket for calendar parking on such a warm day. I thought, what efficiency or the police didn't have much to do. I thought that some intelligent person would never harass some non-resident that would not even know such a law, but it is not so. Yes, I got a 5 color letter from the administrative assistant to the chief of police. It demanded a 200% penalty and threats of a written citation and implied future arrest if not paid. My desire to help this city immediately stopped and I am unwilling to submit to such foolish treatment.
Can anybody explain to me this type of logic? The city cannot possibly earn much money this way.
