Three youth representing Koochiching County 4-H participated in the 2013 Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show held Sept. 13--16.

Kayla Cassibo was the grand entry rider for Koochiching County 4-H and competed in the western pleasure class. She is a member of the State Top Stars 4-H Club. Jana Hendrickson competed in games class and is a member of the State Top Stars 4-H Club. Alexis Promersberger competed in games class and is a member of the Littlefork Lumberjacks 4-H Club.

Koochiching County 4-H top place finishers included Cassibo, who finished in ninth place in western showmanship — pleasure type — grade 11 class.

In addition, Promersberger placed, in the games class, second in barrels — grade 6 class; third in jumping figure 8 — grade 6 class; and fourth in poles — grade six class.
