Grass fire: Prompted by a small grass fire that occurred Saturday on County Road 8, Sheriff Brian Youso urges people to use caution while working outside with items that may spark fires. Burning restrictions remain in place in Koochiching County because of dry conditions. Youso reports that Department of Natural Resources fire crews and the Littlefork Fire Department responded Saturday to the grass fire at 7412 County Road 8, on property owned by Timothy J. Fulton, Falls. According to the report, use of a brush mower in the area is believed to have ignited the fire.
