Fatal ATV accident: Deputies responded at 4:46 p.m. Wednesday to County Road 91 where an all-terrain vehicle driven by Mandy Thornberg, 28, International Falls, carrying two passengers flipped over coming up an incline. Passenger Kristelle Werdier, 5, died at the scene, according to Sheriff Brian Jespersen. Thornberg was taken by ambulance to the Rainy Lake Medical Center hospital campus and was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth. The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
International Fall Police Department
Hit-and-run: Raeann M. Watson, Fort Frances, reported Tuesday that her vehicle sustained rear-end damage while parked at Cine 5, 1319 Third St., where it was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Collision: Vehicles driven by Kurtis J. Fultz, 10th Street, and Kayely Wallen, 16, Fourth Avenue East, collided at Ninth Avenue West and 11th Street causing more than $1,000 damage to the vehicles.
