Paper machine fire: Firefighters responded to a fire at a paper machine at the Boise Inc. mill at about 6 p.m. Tuesday. According to the report, paper had caught fire and firefighters were at the scene for about one hour.

Collision: Vehicles driven by Ray W. Vesely, 79, Owatonna, and Eugene C. O’Brien, 82, collided Saturday at Third Avenue West and 13th Street causing more than $1,000 damage to the vehicles.
Hit-and-run: A vehicle owned by RaNea A. Whitbeck, Eleventh Street, parked at 1416 Third Ave. W., was struck Saturday by a vehicle that left the scene.
Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office
Vehicle theft: A vehicle was taken from Rainy Lake Auto Sales, 301 Eighth St., Friday. According to the report, the vehicle was later recovered in the city. Entry was made by pushing in a side air conditioner unit to access keys inside the vehicle.
Burglary: Bonnie J. Erickson, Loman, reported Aug. 8 that a cabin in Margie was entered and a drill and 1999 outboard motor valued at $500 taken.
