Theft: Jean M. Alleman, County Road 97, reported Oct. 9 that a diamond wedding ring valued at $4,000 was taken from her residence.

Hit-and-run: Debra L. Friesen, Fourth Avenue West, reported Oct. 5 that her vehicle sustained damage to the rear end while parked somewhere in the city.

Property damage: A vehicle driven by Timothy W. Tucker, 51, Portugal Cove, Newfoundland, struck a trailer owned by and at Menards, 1985 Valley Pine Circle, causing more than $1,000 damage Sept. 30.

Theft: James B. Jornlin, Ninth Street, reported Sept. 29 that a tablet personal computer valued at $1,000 and a prepaid cell phone card valued at $30 were taken from his residence.

Car fire: A fire in a car registered to Tim Bright, Falls, was extinguished Oct. 8 by a passing U.S. Border Patrol agent on Highway 11-71 near Brown’s Corner.
