Attempted burglary: Marilyn E. Napper, County Road 90 South, reported Saturday that someone damaged the hasp to the door at her residence when they attempted to break in. Entry was not gained and nothing appeared to have been taken.

Burglary: Paul J. Anderson, Seventh Avenue West, reported that a handgun, woman’s gold wedding ring set and other items valued at more than $1,000 were taken from a residence on Eighth Street.
