Chip fire: Twenty firefighters spent a total of three hours Monday in two visits to the Boise Inc. chip piles along Highway 11 East. According to the report, sparks from an electrical issue there ignited a chip pile, which rekindled later in the ceiling of a small building. Department officials said dust from the chips made the fire difficult to completely extinguish.

Burglary: Staff at the Dollar Tree, 1905 Valley Pine Circle, reported Friday morning that $692 was taken from the store in a burglary. According to the report, entry was not forced.
Hit-and-run: Nakita M. Estling, Warroad, reported Friday that her vehicle was struck Friday while parked at the Rainy River Community College dorms, 1515 Highway 71, by a vehicle that left the scene.
Hit-and-run: Lani B. Meyer, Hiway Lane, reported Friday that her vehicle was damaged while parked at 517 Seventh Ave. where it was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Hit-and-run: Lisa A. Nelson, Second Avenue East, reported Thursday that her vehicle was damaged while parked near her residence when another vehicle was struck and pushed into her vehicle. According to the report, the vehicle left the scene.
