International Falls Fire Department
Cooking fire: Firefighters responded at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday to the Kenneth Long residence, 4408 Town Road 285, International Falls, where something cooking on the stove caught fire igniting the kitchen cabinets above the stove. Department officials said firefighters extinguished the fire and remained at the scene for a period to ensure that the fire had not entered the wall or other areas.
Koochiching County Sheriff's Office
Burglary: Brian Lindvall reported Sunday that the Littlefork Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9641, 301 Main St., Littlefork, was entered and $1,164 taken. Entry to the building was not forced.
International Falls Police Department
Burglary: Stacey M. Napper, Eighth Street, reported April 10 that someone entered her residence through an unlocked door and took a jar containing $75 in change. According to the report, the suspect left the residence through the front door.
