Injury collision: Vehicles driven by Paul P. Rognerud, 64, International Falls, and Patricia A. Lizotte, 42, Fort Frances, collided at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at Minnesota Highway 11 East and County Road 20. According to the report, the Rognerud vehicle was traveling in a southwesterly direction on County Road 20 and failed to yield right of way to the Lizotte vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 11. Rognerud was treated and released and Lizotte had no apparent injury. Three passengers in the Lizotte sustained non-life threatening injuries and one suffered a minor injury.

Kayaker located: A 17-year-old male was located at Bushyhead Island in Rainy Lake by U.S. Border Protection agents Monday evening after Judith D. Fuller, Falls, reported he did not return from a kayak paddle following Monday’s storm. According to the report, deputies and Voyageurs National Park staff were a part of the search.
Burglary: Rita E. Labelle, County Road 94, reported June 30 that someone gained access to her residence by using a rock to break a window and took a weather radio and a fire safe containing documents.
Burglary: Leroy A. Lehman, County Road 74, Silverdale, reported that someone forced entry to his residence and took a generator, marine batteries, solar system batteries and two saws.
Theft: Michael R. Reese, Northome, reported that someone took scrap iron valued at $5,000 from his property.
